 1. What are the Tabs Available in QC 10.0? 

Requirements:	To add the requirements related to Release In this module we can create, edit and delete requirements and we can map the requirements with Test Cases.
Test Plan:	Create the Test Cases & Stores here. In this Create the Manual as well as automated tests using QTP or Load Runner.
Test Lab:	Test Case Execution here. In this manual as well as automated tests can be executed.  Before automated tests execution Quality Center launches corresponding tool (QTP / Load Runner) and that tool executes tests.
Defects:	for Log and track the defects. It is for bug tracking and reporting. In this testers can post defects and get status of their defects.
Releases:	To specify the release details.
Business Component:	QC Provides business Component for Business Process Testing (BPT)
Dashboard:	When you generate a progress Graph in the Dashboard module, the graph may display different information from that displayed in previous versions of QC.
Resources & Dependencies:	To specify the resources and dependencies details.

Note: Quality Center can be used by Testers, Test Leads, Test Manager and Developers.

2. Can you explain about BPT Process? What is the main usage, main purpose we can use BPT Framework?

3. Where you execute the Test Cases in QC?

Ans: In Test Lab execute the Test Cases.

4. How to report the defects in QC?

Ans: After executing the Test Cases if we found any defect then click the defect icon and write defect description and also upload the snapshot / image.

5. How to Integrating QTP with Quality Center?
Ans: By using Tools Options or By using AOM Script integrate.

6. How to executing the Automation Test Cases from Quality Center?
Ans: From QC We Can Execute the Automation Tests or By using AOM execute automation tests.

7. How to Import the Test Cases from Excel to Quality Center?

QC have Excel Add-in using that We Can insert Excel Test Cases into to QC by matching the column names.

8. What is the Steps to Install the QC 10.0 ?

Site Administration and HP Quality Center

8.1 How to open the QC 10.0 Site Admin?

a) Open the QC Site Admin and give UserName & Password (while installation whatever u give the username and password) Ex: Admin & Admin

b) Create the User and give the privileges if access another user also select here.

Ex: mahesh & mahesh

c) Create the Domain and Project and give access for the above user. select that user (mahesh only) when appears all users at right side

c) Logout the Site Admin

8.2 How to Connect to QC with Already Created User in Site Admin?

a) Now Open the Mercury Quality Center and give the UserName & Password (mahesh & mahesh) then click the Authenticate if it is valid then displays the Created Domain and Project in the respective edit boxes. Click Login.

b) Now appears Dashboard, Test Plan, Test Lab, Defects

c) Now appears by default Subject. In this not stored anything under this we need create folders.

d) So Now Create One folder under this subject (In QC 9.0)

Create Project Name Under this Create the Module Name

9. How to connect QC to QTP? and How to Save the QTP Script in QC?

1. TDConnect.exe file need to install first.

2. Without open the Site Admin, Mercury QC directly connect to QC because when open the system that respective services automatically started.

3. In QTP Open File

>> QC Connection

Give the Server Path

Enter the Login and Password for already created user in Site Admin

Authenticate

After Click the autenticate automatically appears

Select respective Project & Domain >> Press Login

If Login Now Directly Connected to Mercury Quality Center without Open

4. Goto QTP Write any script execute if perfectly execute without errors now save that script into the QC.

In QTP Open File > Save - Now automatically open the QC already created Premium in this, that script should be saved.

Note: if module folder (Premium) not created, but must create the at-least parent folder under the subject. In the subject not store anything. that's why create the folder.

5. How to connect QC to QTP Automatically when click the Run in QC 9.0?

6. How to connect QTP to QC with AOM Script? i.e When click the AOM it QC Script will run the gives the Result)

7. Can we record Quality Center operations with QTP?

Yes, only with QC 9.2 and above. Use .NET Add-in.

8. Can we schedule a test run from Quality Center?

Yes, use ‘Test Run Scheduler’ utility that comes with QC.

9. Is there version control in QC with QTP?

Yes, QTP 10.0 provides you the version control feature under the name of Quality Center Version Control present under File Menu. Earlier versions of QTP can work with 3rd party version control tools.

10 Which version of QTP is compatible with which version of Quality Center?

QC 9.0 integrates with QTP 8.2 SP1, QTP 8.2 SP2, QTP 9.0, QTP 9.1 and QTP 9.2.

11. To disable the DB validation check install QC from a cmd prompt as follows:

C:\QualityCenter\Installation\win32>setup.exe -W dbValidatorSequence.active=false

12. How to Administrate the Projects in QC?
